Product Critique #1: Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lash Mascara

We all know it. What is "it" you may ask? Well, that makeup is life and the keystones to a beat face, a face that is slayed to the GAWDS, is eyebrows and lashes. No look is completely without them. You can even forgo eye shadow and liner but as long as those lashes and brows are beat, hunty you are living your best life.

Most of us go through a whole world of extra trying to enhance our lashes and brows but today I'm gonna focus on the lashes (as my brows are naturally bomb and a quick wax shapes me right up). I think that I have average lashes. They are a nice length and a nice density, a quick coat of mascara makes them pop but I wanted more. My lashes tend to be stuck behind my glasses, as I am not fond of my contacts and feel more comfortable in my natural nerdy girl essence, but I really wanted to wow the crowd with cute baby doll lashes. So I decided to experiment.

I tried oils to help the lashes grow. Expanded my mascara collection vastly in attempts to find one that would make my lashes go boom. I even resorted to lash extensions, which were absolutely tragic and I'll have to tell you about the pain and agony on my first story time  vlog (hint of wonderful things to come). Then one of my best gal pals started selling Younique and she told me about the Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes. HUNTY LET ME TELL YOU. This mascara is life-giving. I was so excited to receive my package that I tried it out at my desk.

A little about the product:

The Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lash product is a two-step system.

Step one is the Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes Transplanting Gel. You will use this to make the fiber lashes adhere to your natural lashes. Apply the Transplanting Gel like you would your normal mascara.

Step two is the Moodstruck 3D Fibers. This is the gold right here. Once you have applied the Transplanting Gel you well open the fiber tube and begin to apply. You will brush them across your lashes like mascara however, do be careful as these are actual fibers and will come loose. Once you have finished your first application you can repeat as often as you look to reach desired look.

If you have never tried this product let me tell you why you should.

Instant lift and volume

With just my first application my lashes were noticeably fuller and longer. The instant pop sent my heart all a flutter. I definitely achieved the full baby doll look that I was going for and upon my second application it was marvelous.

You can build for your perfect look

I've experimented with multiple applications and I have gone from a regular everyday look to a full on glam photo shoot slay. With multiple applications you can have a full lash install look. The Bonus:

You can wash it off at the end of the day

I loved the look of my false lashes however I was super nervous to wash my face everyday. For me, washing my face is the best part of the day, and I'm a hardcore exfoliator. So the fact that I am free to remove my makeup and wash my face fully makes me super happy. I don't need baby doll eyes while a sleep.

Now, I will say that there are a few cons to the 3D system and they are as follows.

Two step application

It is a two-step process so if you are in a rush this will take you a little more time. Especially since you need to be careful to not drop the lash fibers. It isn't that much of a time extension but I have learned from experience to not use the fibers on the go.

The fibers are a bit messy

Yes, makeup is messy in general and the fibers can get everywhere including in your eye. I did it and boy does it hurt. However, simply taking the time to wipe the fiber brush down after every 3 to 4 applications will prevent most fall out.

So, do I recommend Younique's Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes? Absolutely!!! They are convenient, cost efficient and extremely beautiful. Because of this product I will probably never attempt to get false lashes again. (If you're interested in more beauty favorites of mine you should have a look at this post here.)
